The Gayelord Hauser 7-Day Elimination Diet is a one-week "housecleaning" for your body.

It restores essential vitamins and minerals to your body's tissues and fluids, and allows the body to eliminate accumulated waste products.  You can go on this diet (it is actually a FEAST) whenever you feel the need for a thorough cleansing.  Dr. Hauser himself went on the Elimination Diet twice yearly - at the onset of Summer and once again following the Winter holidays.

 

The name says it all: ELIMINATION.  The purpose of this diet is to rid the body of toxins, and the way to do this is through daily elimination.  We suggest you begin in the morning of the very first day with a Vegetable Salt Water Flush.  Simply mix 1 Tablespoon of sea salt or Spike^® Vege-Sal Magic! in one quart of very warm spring water and drink it down, all at once, before breakfast.  After approximately 1/2 hour, a copious flushing will result.  Keep yourself eliminating your body wastes on a regular daily basis during and after the Elimination Diet.  If you find yourself having difficulty with elimination, we recommend you take two Swiss Kriss Herbal Laxative tablets at bedtime.

 

Season your foods with any and all of the seasonings on the shopping list, but no oil or butter for seven days.  You'll be amazed at how good vegetables taste with a dash of  Spike^® Original Magic!, Spike^® Vege-Sal Magic!, Spike^®Lemon Pepper Magic! or Spike^® Onion Magic!.  If you are watching your salt intake, try Spike^® Salt-Free Magic!,  Spike^® Garlic Magic!, or Spike^® 5 Herb Magic!.

 

Three cups of nonfat yogurt are allowed per day.  As yogurt is included with lunch and dinner you may have a cup of nonfat yogurt as one, and only one, of your three daily snacks.

 

The Hauser Vegetable Broth and the Swiss Formula Broth are the KEYS to this diet.  Filled with essential nutrients and delicious flavor, these hot beverages will keep you feeling satisfied as you cleanse your system throughout the week.
